A Great-Full Day!

TODAY is World Gratitude Day!

Started in 1977 by the United Nations Meditation Group, World Gratitude Day is an opportunity to celebrate the things you are grateful for and to show appreciation for your blessings.

Everyone can take part by acknowledging what you are thankful for.

“Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive.  I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.  I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart to others; to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.  I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry or think badly about others.  I am going to benefit others as much as I can.”  –The Dalai Lama

As for me, I’m grateful for SURVIVAL. I survived the most calamitous collision in history between two passenger liners. Moreover, I’m grateful for the oceans and what they provide: food, beauty, passage to other lands, entertainment, health, employment, and natural resources. I’m thankful for those who promote survival on our seas and survival of our seas.

I am grateful for you—my readers!
